TPRI System Software Online |
| Overview |
It is a completely thin client (web-based) application that does not require any additional software to be installed on the client computer(s), although it is expected that you at least have either Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat Reader installed (click here for a complete list of system requirements). All data is housed on professional web-hosting servers leased by SourcePro Software and, since there is no software installed on the client side, the client doesn't have to bother with updates to the software or backing up the data, etc.
However, because of the nature of web-based software, users should be aware of the fact that each time you click "Save", "Edit", "Close", etc, the information has to be transmitted back to the server (where the data is stored). As you are navigating through the software, be patient as the screen redraws after clicking a button, etc. Sometimes it may take a second or two to respond, but more harm than good will occur if you repeatedly press the same button when it doesn't respond immediately. The software and data is being hosted by a leading web-hosting solution in California. While delays may occur every now and then, performance should be optimal.
SourcePro Software 'preloads' the student and user information obtained from the district. This 'preloaded' database eliminates the need for individual teachers to enter basic student information, such as ID number, gender, ethnicity, campus code, etc.
Each teacher (and principal and admin) user is assigned their own login to the TPRI System Software website, as well as their own password.
After administering the screening and inventory, the teacher logs into the website and enters the student scores from the screening and inventory summary pages directly into the TPRI System software. Actual SCORES are entered, rather than D or S.
Once the data has been entered (for a given period, such as the beginning of the year, etc) the teacher can generate Parent Summary Reports, as well as numerous other analytical reports designed to identify weak student areas. This identification of weak areas can then be used to follow suggested interventions. Reports can also be generated for an entire campus (for those districts which have more than one elementary campus) and district reports can also be created. After the last reporting period (end of the year) an End of Year Summary report can be generated. This report contains the data needed to complete the Early Reading Instruments Report for TEA. All of the reports can be generated using predefined settings or by a user query. These queries can be as complex as required to generate the desired subset, and can be saved and retrieved for later use.
There are four (4) different types of users (user levels) that can gain access to the software. Each one is described in detail below:
1) TEACHER
2) REGISTRAR (Attendance Clerk)
3) PRINCIPAL
4) ADMIN
