awhile to download. It's recommended that you be connected to the internet via
a broadband connection.

DIRECTIONS FOR DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING:
|
-
Click the link above to begin downloading
-
Choose to "Save" rather than "Run" the file. Save the
file to your Windows desktop.
-
Once the program has been downloaded, close your
internet browser. You will see the icon for the file you just downloaded on
your desktop (CMTSInstall.EXE). Double click it to begin the
installation.
-
Once the installation begins, follow the onscreen
instructions and accept the defaults for the installation folder, etc. (Note
that you may be required to restart your computer during of after the
installation. Just follow any onscreen prompts you encounter.)
-
After the installation is complete, two new shortcuts
(icons) will also be placed on your Windows desktop. The CMTS Logon program
(the icon looks like the face of a clock) is what the students log into the
system with. The CMTS Admin program (the icon looks like a yellow folder tab)
is used by the Content Mastery lab staff to add students, edit times, run
reports, etc.

GETTING STARTED
|
-
BE SURE TO RUN THE CMTS ADMIN PROGRAM FIRST!
-
To begin, double-click the CMTS Admin icon and the
system will start. The first screen you see will be the registration screen.
You have a 30 day trial period in which to run this software without having to
register it. Skip the registration for now by clicking the Skip button.
-
The next screen will be the admin
login screen. The default password is set to CMTS. Just type in CMTS and press
Enter. (The password is not case sensitive.)
-
From this point, you can familiarize yourself with the
program prior to doing anything else. There is a complete electronic help file
that you can use while the software is running.
-
To open the help file, just press the F1 key. (You must
have Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher installed in order to view the
help file.) The help file contains all the information you need to run
both the CMTS Admin and CMTS Logon programs and explains in detail how these
programs are used.
-
To exit the CMTS Admin program, just click Exit from
the main menu and then click Yes when asked.
-
To run the CMTS Logon program, just double-click the
CMTS Logon icon. The student logon screen will appear. Just leave this program
running throughout the school day. As each student enters the lab for study
time, they can click the green traffic light and then select their name (and
subject). When leaving, they click the red traffic light and then select their
name (to end the study session). Of course you will need to add the students
(using the CMTS Admin program) prior to allowing students to logon.

|
SPECIAL NOTES
|
-
To EXIT the CMTS LOGON program,
right click on a blank area of the logon form (or press the Escape key),
which will bring up a password textbox, then enter the password (which is CMTS
until you change it) and press enter. Then you can choose to exit or
return to the program.
-
The demo does not have any students,
teachers, campuses, etc, so you'll need to add these before being able to test
the features of the software..
-
You can access the software's
help file by pressing F1 when running the CMTS Admin program.
Please read through the help file for complete details on using both the CMTS
Admin and CMTS Logon programs.
-
You'll have 30 days to evaluate the software. After the
30 days is over, you won't be able to run the CMTS Admin program without an
activation key. The student logon program will continue to function, but
you won't be able to generate reports, add students, etc, after the 30 day
trial period.
